For 52 weeks a year (with the exception of Bank Holidays) we open our doors at 7.30am. From the moment your child enters our front door you can be assured that he or she will be in an environment that will nurture and support their development and growth.
Breakfast is served at 8.30am and consists of wholemeal cereal and toast, served with organic milk from Acorn Dairy.
After breakfast will be a busy morning playing alongside friends and carers. There will be a mixture of adult led activities such as dance, German or sign language; and child led activities based around your child’s preferences and interests, both inside and out. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and activities are planned for and based on your child’s interests and observations.
During the morning session, a snack of fruit and water or milk are served. A two course lunch, cooked from fresh ingredients each day, is served in two sittings between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
The afternoon session provides more opportunities to play and learn as well as nap, if your child requires it, in a quiet sleep room.
At 3.00pm high tea is served with fresh milk, after which the children can continue to play and learn until your collect them.
We are currently in the process of Forest School Training. This will involve the children taking part in activities in our forest area and will run alongside the Early Years Curriculum, giving all children a unique and rounded experience.
