A shady spot in which to tell a tale.

The grounds at Danesmoor House offer us the opportunity to take advantage of our woodland setting. Story telling in this environment allows children to get more involved in the story telling process and to develop a love of stories and communication from the day they join us. Whether it’s Goldilocks, Red Riding Hood or a Robin Hood adventure, story time will never be the same again.
Language and communication are a major focus of the new EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum. A rich outdoor environment such as ours will fire your child’s imagination and make them want to hear stories as well as tell ones of their own. This is their first important steps towards reading and writing, and it all starts in this shady spot in which a tale can be told.
